If your attorney has told you to get into treatment, this is the part you can take care of today. Same day admission is available once your assessment is complete, with your court letter issued the day you are admitted.
A DUI arrest is stressful, and the uncertainty that follows can feel overwhelming. If you're in Fullerton, near the Santa Ana Freeway, reaching out for help is a sound first step.
Compass Recovery treats the alcohol or substance use behind a DUI at our Orange County locations in Cypress and Costa Mesa. We serve people from Fullerton and throughout the region. When you call, your conversation is completely confidential, and our team can answer your questions without judgment.
Fullerton is in north Orange County, with Anaheim as the nearest major city. Compass Recovery's Cypress location is southwest of Fullerton, and our Costa Mesa location is farther south. Our admissions team is available 24/7 to confirm which address applies to your care.
We are a licensed and accredited addiction treatment center. Our focus is the substance use disorder itself, which court ordered education classes are not designed to treat.
Your treatment legal letter is issued the day you are admitted, and progress letters follow on the schedule the court sets, always with your written authorization.
Alcohol withdrawal can be dangerous. When detox is needed, our team monitors you around the clock before therapy begins.
Anxiety, depression, PTSD and trauma often sit underneath heavy drinking. We treat them together with the substance use, not one after the other.
Tell us on the first call. Admissions answers 24/7 and will work to your deadline. Not ready to call? Take the free, confidential 2-minute self-check first.
The first step is a conversation, not a commitment.
Any time, day or night. Tell us what happened and what you are worried about. Asking questions costs nothing.
We assess your substance use, mental health and medical needs, then recommend the right level of care.
We check your benefits directly with your carrier. Sliding scale and private pay are available if you are not covered.
Same day admission is available, and your treatment legal letter is issued the day you are admitted.
Yes, Compass Recovery serves Fullerton, CA. We welcome clients from Fullerton, Anaheim, Garden Grove, and Buena Park. Treatment takes place at our Orange County locations in Cypress and Costa Mesa, California. To get started, call our admissions team for a confidential conversation available 24/7.
Compass Recovery offers same day admission once your clinical assessment is complete and your benefits are verified, and your treatment legal letter is issued the day you are admitted. Admissions answers 24/7, and the assessment can usually happen on the first call or shortly after. The letter confirms your assessment and admission and is released only with your written authorization. If you have a court date coming, tell admissions on the first call so they can work to that deadline.
Compass Recovery provides clinical treatment for the substance use disorder behind a DUI, including court ordered or attorney recommended treatment, but it is not a state licensed DUI program. It is a licensed, Joint Commission accredited addiction treatment center (California DHCS License 300331CP). We provide the assessment, the care and documentation of your progress, with your written authorization. The court ordered DUI education class must come from a state licensed DUI program, which you enroll in separately, and we work alongside it.
Treatment for a substance use disorder is a covered medical benefit under most major health plans, though coverage and authorization requirements vary by policy. Compass Recovery is in network with Aetna, Cigna, Blue Shield of California and TriWest, and offers sliding scale and private pay options if you are uninsured or underinsured. Court fines, DUI program tuition, license reinstatement fees and ignition interlock costs are legal expenses and are not covered by health insurance.
The length of DUI treatment depends on your clinical needs rather than the charge. Medical detox typically runs several days, residential treatment commonly runs 30 to 90 days, and continuing care can extend much longer. Your assessment sets the recommendation, and the plan is adjusted as you progress. Outpatient care is also available for people who cannot step away from work, school or family.
You need medical detox if your body has become physically dependent on alcohol or another substance. Warning signs include tremors, sweating, nausea, a racing heart or anxiety when you have not had a drink. Stopping abruptly after heavy long term drinking can cause seizures and can be life threatening, so withdrawal should be medically supervised. A clinical assessment at Compass Recovery determines whether detox is needed.
Compass Recovery cannot promise any legal outcome, and no treatment provider should. Attorneys frequently encourage clients to begin treatment before a court date, and courts routinely consider documented engagement in treatment when weighing sentencing and probation conditions. With your written authorization, we can provide documentation of your assessment, admission and progress. For advice on your case, speak with a qualified DUI attorney.
